Chapter Two - Someone to Call My Lover

Dear Diary,

I'm settling in to my new life in Sunset Valley. I don't have much money. I have only purchased an inexpensive bed, but my property is gorgeous so I don't really mind.

I sneak into the town gym to relieve, wash, and feed myself. But that's our little secret.

Of course, the first thing I did was buy some seeds and start my garden. I hid my talents in my old home. Now I have a lot of catching up to do.

I got a job at the upscale restaurant in town. I earn money and work on my potions. I don't mention that to the locals, of course. But nobody complains when I lace their lobster with my special aphrodisiac.

My vision is haunting me. I need to produce an heir. I started searching for a mate immediately. An attractive, athletic man I met at the gym seemed promising...but turns out he was married. Us witches have the ability to seduce. I could have him if I wanted, married or not. But I'm not that kind of a witch.
Then I met Leighton Sekemoto while strolling through the park. I was immediately attracted to his tall, dark, and handsome exterior, as well as his family-friendly interior. I knew right away that he was the one for me. The man to help me bring my legacy of witches into this world. He felt the same way. We got to know each other and flirted until night time forced us home to curl up in our separate beds.

A few days later I surprised Leighton with a visit. I was the one in for a surprise, however. Leighton never mentioned his son.

His wife abandoned him and the baby shortly after Sam was born. Leighton asked his mother, Yumi, to move in. She takes care of Sam while Leighton is at work. I was taken aback by this turn of events, but not thrown off course. Leighton is still the guy for me. I confided in him about my powers and my vision. We agreed to love and accept each other as we are.

I asked Leighton to marry me. He said yes.

Chapter One - This Is Me

Dear Diary,

I had another vision last night. There are only three things I remember clearly. One, I must leave home. Two, nine generations must follow me to complete the prophecy. Three, me and my heirs must keep record of our lives.

Which brings me back to you, dear diary. I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Amelie Soleil. I live in a small village in Southern France. I am a witch.

My mother was killed when I was very young. I had a vision about that, too. Unfortunately my gifts lie mostly in growing herbs and brewing potions. My visions come in broken pieces that I can't usually decipher until it's too late. The villagers took her in the middle of the night. I don't know why they didn't take me too.

But now I'm leaving for the New World. I trust my visions even if I don't always fully understand them. I know something amazing is in store for my unborn family; that within ten generations we will finally find our place in the world.
